Penny and I headed to Gunnison, Colorado, at the beginning of August for the Rocky Mountain Overland Rally (RMOR). We both were officially volunteers this time so we managed to keep our schedules pretty full!
Penny volunteered with the 7P team that trains participants in off-roading and overlanding techniques. I worked with the Rebelle Rally to lead trails around the area.
It was great to see so many old and new Rebelle Rally participants at this event- it is like having all your best friends in one place, doing all the stuff you really love! Besides getting to take a look at gear the vendors brought, there were also multiple classes covering anything from rope tying, outdoor cooking, or getting yourself out of a serious tech course that involved some nasty mud!
Other than the mosquitoes that sent some people packing to hotels, it was an amazing event that I'm sure is only going to grow in size, as I feel like I see roof-top tents on half the cars in Colorado!
As the rallies motto says: Have Fun, Make Friends, Learn Stuff!
